1916 Commemorative Art

We have commissioned 7 individual art pieces to be sold at our in-person event for charity. The artist has chosen the Irish Youth Foundation as the recipient of these proceeds.

One 12×16 inch canvas was made for each of the signatories of the Irish proclamation of 1916. The designs embed ghost like images with a copy of the proclamation with a color scheme reminiscent of days of old. The images styles were inspired by the many murals of Ireland and the pieces are reminders of the sacrifices that were made.

Jeremy Pettit is an independent artist that is part of the Minnesota 1916 Commemoration committee.  He uses a unique style of art that combines canvases, spray-paint and lasers as a sort of reverse silk-screening process.
